Nope. This won't work nor will it provide any satisfaction. I really hate breaking stuff like this but...This idea is generally plagiarized, unoriginal, and bland. This appeals to a niche that has yet to be filled and pertains to an audience of furries and zoophiles (Like what you like, I don't care) and is generally unfit to go with the games lore. I hate to break it too you, but this just won't work. I hate seeing these ideas because they are specific, they cater too a small group of people that would rather the idea they enjoy be developed and essentially waste development time. This is a specific want, not a broad and important need.

Edit: To avoid the backlash and hate I will receive for this I will state: I do NOT hate furries, I accept them because it is a fan group and nothing more, I could generally care less about the opinions of furries as long as none of them try shoving it down my throat. I dislike (Most) bronies for this reason, they attempt to spread the MLP religion to EVERYONE and though I have met some nice members of this fan group the general population is fan-dumb.

Zoophilia? Same thing, it all depends on your personality. I was merely referring to the fact that furries are commonly zoophiles. Not trying too be mean or arrogant, simply stating something.

Bronie- Fan of the MLP (My Little Pony) TV show
Furry- A fan of the collective ideal of animals (mostly furry mammals.) Showing some elements of zoophilia and pan-sexuality, but generally being a group of animal lovers.

...Not at all. That is assuming a stereotype. Furries are generally animal lovers, whereas Bronies are fans of MLP. Don't be mean about it, no point in starting a flame war...again.

I really like wolves. I'd love this race to be in here too. =D I'm not sure how they could be differentiated from existing races.. but I'm also very tired right now. I give this race idea a thumbs up. Mind you, I've not read the big backstory, I just think a wolf race would be neat. I've also suggested one in a few other threads.

No. I like animals, but I'm not a furry. I like MLP and I am a brony. I don't hate furries because I don't really hate anyone, and I'm not an immature little turd.

I'd personally like to see a race of cat-people myself, though the warrior race trope for a race of felids or canids seems cliché to me. I mean, we already have dozens of them, like the Kzinti from Ringworld, or the Kilrathi from Wing Commander, or the Ctarl-Ctarl from the anime Outlaw Star. Perhaps a race of peace-loving cat-people or peace-loving wolf-people would be a nice change of pace? (Although they could still come from a militaristic background. )

It's not hypocritical because I'm not forcing my hate on others :B and you saying we are the exact same shows just how much you don't know about anyone. I don't like girly things and I'm a damn man, so of course I hate MLP. LOL

Yeah zoophilia is one of the biggest stereotypes/assumptions that are false. As far as I can tell, people who actually want to do anything like that with animals are frowned upon within the 'fandom'. It doesn't stop there, people doin' it in mascot suits are frowned upon too. So it's really lame to see people stereotype us as that all the time because it's far from the truth, it's ILLEGAL & IMMORAL to begin with. I don't even like animals that much, I personally find ANTHROPOMORPHIC appealing and making my 'persona' a canine person. When I look at an actual dog, it's a completely different thing to me from what I like. lol Anthropomorphic = HUMANOID/HUMAN = ALIEN OR MUTANT THING. Does not = animal on four legs with or without intelligence.

Now doing animals is the equivalent of doing a child and if MLP existed it'd be the same thing so if that's why you're comparing us you probably should stop there LOL. Otherwise you're pointing that we are either pedos or zoophiles. What about the a chunk of the anime fandom loving little girl anime all the time? So they can call us zoos and pedos while they parade around a little girl idol all day, sounds like the same damn thing and I could easily assume they wanna do those little girls in overly revealing clothes with how obsessed they are with them. I'm not hopping on forums to shove that hatred in anyone's faces because it's really stupid groundless assumptions just like zoophilia.

That is not me. LOL I prefer to keep my furry background anonymous. But it's whatever if you figure it out. hahaha

They aren't werewolves.
Nowhere does it say they are, they are merely humanoid wolves.
On the first 2 points, the summer update will fix those.

 

I suppose it would be pretty annoying for starbound to be filled with random furry races with a lack of in-depth lore.
Of course, commenting on a thread you unconditionally don't like only bumps it further up and gives it more attention.

Also werewolves and lycanthropes are synonymous. A different race name could fix that, like Canids.
