The modders can probably answer your question better. Last I heard, it's largely still placeholders from other races, being gradually replaced with the new assets.

Well, I kind of do like this. But for some reason it's not a 100% thing. It's like playing a game of water polo. Stabbing everyone else with your sharpened toe nails can be fun, but then you have to keep your sharpened toe nails in shape.
