I take it you like kangaroos... This is good, and to think due to their strong legs they can jump relatively higher than any race, and a double jump to boost for tech would be awesome. I take it that most of the culture in the lore is similar to that of actual "Ozzies" if I have pronounced it right. Speaking of that, I would love to go Australia [Hugh Jackman accent]... ...some day.

This really needs to be a mod. If this came out i would give it 5 stars and it would probably be one of the top mods.

@Dolphinowl245 We are trying as hard as we can to try to get this to be a mod. Unfortunately, @Newominus has decided to stop working on the mod, but we now have @TheDr.Awsome on our team.

I'm working on some new lore documents at the moment. Here are the two "default" entries that each new players get, much like with the vanilla races. 1. A Desulti Introduction p.1 The Desulti are a species of bipedal marsupials originating from the planet Tisetora. They are covered with a moderate coat of fur, with distinguishing features including elongated muzzles, powerful legs and muscular tails. Females of the species have pouches used to hold their joeys during infancy. p.2 The race spent millenia in nomadic tribes and self-governed settlements. Eventually, an era of technological, cultural and political progress was experienced. This cumulated into the discoverery of flight, and with it a new field of aerospace sciences. p.3 By the time that a manned spaceship was sent outside Tisetora's atmosphere, and the Desulti began to reach out to other races, they had united under a single banner. But not all were content; isolationists denounced the new race-wide government, and xenophobes spoke out against contact with other races. Butfor most, it was a time to extend their fledgling presence among the stars. 2. A Desulti Journey Begins p.1 They did it. They actually, finally did it. Those bloody isolationists and xenophobes have lashed out, bringing the Desulti homeworld, Tisetora, to its knees. The government has enacted an indefinite lockdown, but you're not sticking around for the second act. p.2 As luck would have it, you managed to "borrow" a surplus Aerospace Force shuttle scheduled for recycling. With some jury-rigging, flyboy grandstanding and prayers, you were able to escape the chaos and jump to safety. Now adrift in an unfamiliar sector with no fuel and even less beer, it's time for your next move. Other entries in the works currently include a news report with a bleak yet optimistic view of the situation following the attacks, and a three-part story detailing the beginning of a Desulti-Avian romance.
I like this. Unlike all the other races, each with their unique and inherent civil strife, the Desulti's is themed on a conflict with Tradition vs. Novelty. To think, that perhaps the Avians with their Kluex papacy would follow suite, but theirs seem to just fall under religion vs. atheism, unless I miss the "Galileo" part of their lore? Also, I hate xenophobia.
And I can apparently think up cheesy Desulti pick-up lines. No species is safe! (Jonesy secretly wants to be a romance novelist i think...no wait roomance~)
Oh man, that's a perfect line! This all looks insanely well done, loving the whole mashup of sci-fi-WWII style going. I'm excited to see this become a mod, and hope it becomes a race in Vanilla.
