Missing Tools ps4

I woke up today and my watering can and hoe were gone from my inventory. I've read that sometimes this will happen, and that the items will be returned the following morning by Lewis. Unfortunately, Lewis did not return them and they have not shown up. It's been 3 in-game days and nothing. I am so sad...
