Monster Farm Reveal

while browsing twitter the yesterday I came across a this post from CA

Needed a break from bug testing so I added something new to #stardewvalley



From what I can see is it might be a Monster farm (duh) as we can see he is holding a slime item and a picture of a slime is hanging beside the door. I think it looks more like a Chao.
I guess this is for people who need monster items but are too lazy to go to the mines


what else do you guys think?

There is also a slime tank on the sides of the build, it seams it will automatically gather smile juice for you.

The build is cool, but it seems out of place in a farm. Maybe you can put it on the corner next to the mountain, and put some decoration in front of it so it blend well in the farm.

 

Having it right next to your farm/house does look out of place I agree, personally i'll probably be shoving it in a corner surrounded by gnarly trees

 

Okay just asked on twitter (and got a surprisingly rapid response), but apparently it'll be possible to lay down flooring outside your house, so it might be possible to make the monster factory look more thematic!

 

You can see floor in the screenshots and in the trailer.

Wood around the crops in the center, and stone in the bottom right corner under the barrels.

 

Oh. I'm dumb.

 

If it's a building where you can tame slimes and harvest for their slime goods...
Definitely want a modder to work on bringing butchery back..

 

I wonder if it's in any way inspired by Slime Rancher.

There is only a 10 page thread about that, hehehe.

Not only butchering, but meat was also removed.

 

I don't know the exact full story, from the QA stream and the forum about it I'm just lumping the self-butchery/butcher [You can't get meat at all] together .
The code was removed in the game due to CA's thoughts on the matter. Animals (for me) being sold off to a butcher and all you get back is money.. Is not butchering if I wanted the meat. But that's my two cents, there is a thread about it.

My thing is if this place is some slime factory (slimes have been updated to be 100% cuter) that can be harvested for slime...
I kinda want my meat too.. Slime ribs.. don't sound good

I thought they were gelatinous amorphous type thing...

Sad though as to no meat. I don't mind there being no butchering, but... a veggy sandwhich... well at least there will be eggs.

I cant believe I didnt notice the tanks on the side.
and you're right, its way out of place. with the creepy dark brick to the gargoyles, it should belong a little bit out of sight from a quaint farm.

 

You order a plate of slime ribs. They return with a plate of jell-o .

 

.... well... I beg to differ on that. As a patty is a patty. There is a veggy patty, and people still call those bugers... So why not.

Although usually when an egg is on it they define it as a breakfast sandwhich... so yes not burgers for that one. I love breakfast. *sigh* Not too big on burgers in the first place... or more like not too fond of grounded beef... I think I like sausage or hot dogs more... And that not possible at this time. Oh well.

slime burger... That would be equivalent to a mayo burger. It is as it sounds. 2 buns with mayo and some condiments. Simply a burger is 2 buns with stuff between them... Yeah I have to agree slime burgers does not sound tasty... More or less tactile appealing... Ok my stomach turning at that thought... ><

I'll just stick with an egg melt in mind.
