Mob Monster Taming Ideas

    If I remember right I've read in updates before that you could tame monsters/mobs and even summon them to help you.
    What I'm thinking of is extending this function further.
    For example,
    Training:Leveling your monster up and evolving it(I think I've reading something about evolving),or even teaching it new attacks and skills.
    Item Producing/Helping:Mobs could even be used as diary animals,or useful in many different objects.For example let's say a mob with features that resemble a cow could produce you milk,or monster that resmebles a plant could produce fruits/wood,a monster with a glowing feature could help you as it will light your way in mines,or a monster with wings could let you fly on it,or even having some monsters that could heal you,and on and on...
    Not so useful but could be cute:When you play music next to specific monsters,they could dance or sing with you.(For example a bird whistling when you play flute/ocarina)
    Breeding:Breeding!Breeding 2 tamed monsters will produce a new monster with features of it's parents.I would love to see something like that.Maybe the genetics will be randomized or even chosen by the player.Monsters should have high affinity towards eachother so they could breed.And the monster egg will take time to hatch.
    Affinity:Making your mob love you more will depend on how helpful will it be,let's say the monster doesnt love you then it wont produce items for you,or even help you fight.
    Modes:Controlling your monster!For example you could command it to defend you,or attack or just follow you.

    Anyways alot of great stuff can be done with the monster taming,and it would be a miss to waste it.
    I hope you'll consider it,and please vote up/comment if you think that's a good idea!And if not explain why =P.

    The training thing is already in game as monster evolution. You can only catch monsters when they're in their early stage of evolution (babies).

    I actually asked Tiy in IRC about monster breeding specifically. He said that it's something they're looking at, but stated it's not going to be a feature at release.

    Oh alright I think i've read this and noted I think it exists,but the other features I really hope that will be ingame.
    Like the help,mobs should be helpful not only battlewise, it'll make them more intersting.

    They already HAVE implemented variations of what you said.

    What are some of the variations? I'm just interested to know what the devs have in mind, especially when it comes to the "item-producing/helping" mobs.
