Bug/Issue Multiplayer: Pants turned to Mixed Seeds

I was playing with my little brother, and he gave me his pants. But on my screen, they were mixed seeds. I put them in my chest, and they stacked with my other mixed seeds. He does not have any pants. I have a hard time knowing what to write down in these situations, so if more information is needed then please ask me questions. I will answer to the best of my ability.
