Modding Help Need help with lua

I made a custom effect that has a ghost follow the player if they are affected I have the animation and everything but I have trouble with the position because it has to follow the player behind them, but I tried to get that to work and thought I moved it away from the center but it only works if the player is facing to the right. When they face to the left the ghost is infront of them and its frustrating.
