New Stretch Goal Poll - Fossils or Penguin Mode?

Honestly, while some sort of super hard mode sounds really cool, fossils would make the game so much more immersible.

My vote goes towards fossils.

I really loved collecting fossils in Animal Crossing V:
You felt awesome after you finished off a dinosaur.

I really love games that add some sort of item hunting, it gives me another thing to do.

 

Fossils, so I can say "How do I mine for fish?".

 

Fossils for the win i bet you find the fossil of some old cliche monsters lol mothra, godzilla, etc

Fossils. Because I want to unearth alien lifeforms, which will allow me to create genetic modifications, or a deadly virus, or accidentally create a hostile xenomorph that escapes and infests the research facility. Or allows me clues to ancient relics and weapons and vehicles of great power. Or maybe great sums of money for a sidequest for collectables.

Archeology in general can be truly amazing for a sci-fi realm. Just allow me to unearth ancient technology that can help me build a badass humanoid mech, and you'll have my undying support forever.

i mean penguin mode sound fun and all but i like the idea of carefully digging for the fossilis that might be really bad ass for your decoration and everything

 

I just thought... why not both? Both would be fun. But with fossils, if you can revive one, that would be super cool.

Oh my god is this for real? Like, REALLY for real?! Ahhh! Fossils, totally fossils! I mean, who here can claim that they never had a crazy craving for fossils as a kid? Y'know, "dinosaurs, yay!" and all that. As long as I am able to revive a pet deinonychus or pterodactyl (or, heck anything even remotely similar to a dino), I am SO in.
...What, who doesn't love archeology? Though it would have to be better than WoW Archeology...but yeah

As for a penguin mode, that sounds totally hilarious. Like, some kind of easter egg almost. ...or a prank. Either way, I love the sound of it, but compared to the idea of fossils and potential dino pets, it just doesn't impress me enough. It sounds like a really fun addition to the game, but fossils would add a much more real, tangible aspect to the game. It would give the feeling of a fleshed-out world, a cool collectible sidequest type thing (gotta catch em all!), perhaps armors or decorations....compared to that, being a penguin just doesn't impact gameplay enough.

Basically I think both are great ideas, and I truly hope that both are implemented.
