Nice little detail.

So now when you plant a tree in the greenhouse, you pop a floor tile out for it. (Non-collectible tile, for those who'll ask.)

I love little details like that.

 

oooh! that'll help the trees growing in the tiles make more sense if anything hahaha

i'm REALLY glad that's been added back. even though it's possible, i felt like i didn't have enough room planting in the dirt. but i still wanted to have trees all year :c

 

It is nice to see that feature return, I think it may have originally been an unintentional one? which might explain why it was removed

 

What does tvtropes call it? Ascended glitch, I think. Something that was unintentional, but so loved that the devs turned the bug into a feature.

 

Can someone pretty please show me the best layout for planting the trees in the greenhouse? Assuming you use 6 iridium sprinklers with 2 on the borders of the left side. I don't wanna mess up planting them cause they take a long time to grow.

 

Oddly enough, guard cancels in fighting games started out that way too.

 

I never got to take advantage of that feature, nice to know it's come back if I decide to use it.

Can it even grow in that corner? Doesn't the "8-tile rule" still apply?

 

I don't think it still applies but I've only seen screenshots.

 

It's gotten bigger since, so maybe ca tweaked the code for indoors. *shrug*

I do like how it was initially a bug, and now it's an intended design feature. It just feels good when a developer takes feedback like that and changes their mind about something. I can imagine a few people told CA that they liked that you could plant trees along the edge of the greenhouse. It must have been enough people that he decided to change it back.

 

Now I really have to knuckle down and choose just one save to play through, to be able to try this out (yes, ashamed to admit it but not once on any save have I managed to unlock the greenhouse, my bad case of altitis )

They'll act like they always do when they're in season.

 

But at least they're protected from lightning strikes this way. Got it. ^^
