Bug/Issue One of my friends cant get past the chuckle fish logo without crashing

Right after the fish logo his came crashes it just says: atal error: access violation detected 00007FF8066BDD28

if someone can pin point it and help us that would be nice


he has tried reinstalling starbound, trying repairing it, restalled steam,updated windows, disabled discord overlay, and tried copying diffrent files from others to try and fix it, didnt work

I was having a very similar problem, and fixed it by making starbound run as an administrator each time. Through the pathway C: > Program Files (86x) > Steam > steamapps > common > Starbound > win64 [or win32 if your friend plays on the 32 bit version] then right click on the Starbound application, click Properties, click Compatibility, then under settings click the check box next to Run this program as an administrator, then click Apply. hopefully this helps!
