Awesome! What if there was a rocket launcher you could get from defeating him, and it's his eye fused into a a rocket launcher that shoots Explodey Lasers?
I'm not sure, I think any of its components are too large to be items. It's fingers are almost as large as the player.
Psh... You could just give him Boomsticks favorite defensive technique. The Back Hand! Also, you sure Geodude isn't one of the references. I mean, we ahve 1) Master Hand 2) Twins from Terraria 3) Geodude 4) Glados from Portal. Those are the 4 best references I can think of atleast.
Geodude was actually unintentional, I didn't realize until my friend started calling it a pokemon, because it also kinda looks like that acorn one. But since nobody has picked up on the last 2, I'll fess up the main reference I used. Big Arm(s).

Eh, sad I missed that thread until after you posted the source. I definitly saw it on first glance being the original sonic games fan I am. Pretty good design, now we just need a boss fight music that is somewhat like his main theme in the game and we have ourselves a pretty mean boss to fight.
so nav (one of my... people i know??) decided to just go and try to make opticeps (without my consent (and i wanted to try and sprite him today >:s) but i guess it's coo') and he's p frickin good at spriting, so i decided we could collab on the sprite so yeah.
