Well, so far a larger than usual creature I've seen, are adult poptops... Perhaps add more, even larger ones, though probably more viable in water/poison/lava worlds as monstrous swimming leviathans or something. The flesh biomes feature "mouths with sharp teeth", perhaps create a creature out of that too (though it would look abit like Sarlaccs in star wars, but would have different abilities instead).
