Bug/Issue Outpost Glitch?

Hey there!

When I created a second character and got to the outpost, every thing was unlocked, the Ark was opened and the entire crew was already there. Is this a glitch or part of the game? cause it really sucks.

 

this is not a glitch. the outpost is saved to the universe, not the player. if you want to properly restart, you will have to delete the universe files which cannot be done in game. they are found in <Starbound directory>/storage/universe

 

That's actually what I did, but I was just wondering cause it does make things a bit harder.
