Pet Color Data Location

Hello! I've been trying to recreate an old ship of mine from when I started playing the game, but one issue I'm finding is that I can't locate where the data that determines the ship pet's color is stored. I don't know of any methods to change the pet's color in-game, short of deleting my ship and starting from scratch until I start with the right color. Where can I find the line of code that saves the color of my pet?

(I know there's technically a mod for this, for only the base game's races, but it doesn't seem to like my computer, so that'll be a last resort, if somehow restarting my ship won't cut it.)
