Amusing i saw a very similiar hat.
and since i liked that one i guess i have to like this one as well.

I'm sorry but I've never been inspired by the work of others.

 

Plenty of people are inspired to use a penguin since it's one of the only/most commonly shown animals in the game - and some people made their hats before looking through the other threads. There's plenty of them as well. No art is completely original, and both of your hats are in completely different styles.

my profile pic came before anyone made a penguin hat
and i copied it off the developers king penguin.

literally copied the crown onto another penguin.
so lets not argue who came up with what first, because in some sense it was the developers.
no harm in a bit of friendly competition to come up with the best penguin hat.
