Closed [Pleased Giraffe Patch] Story Quest Broken

With this patch removing several sets of armor, it has caused an issue preventing progress in the story.

Mainly: the "Free As A Bird" mission is impossible to complete (the one where you repair the FTL drive to go to other systems)

Reason? The requisite quest in order to complete it is inaccessible because you get stuck on the prior "Help! I need somebody" (the one where you need to craft the now removed steel armor in order to get the coordinates to access the mine which contains needed resource)

This blocks all progress currently and limits gameplay to the spawn system.

 

Spawn it in using admin mode.

/admin
/spawnitem humantier2chest
/spawnitem humantier2head
/spawnitem humantier2legs (or humantier2pants)

 

...craft armor from Iron Bars first. You will gain the recipes for armor from Steel Bars.

Or use admin commands.

The quest works fine.
