I had a neat thought. Once generic (non-outpost) quests are added to the game, it would be great if shop-like NPCs could be set up who sold quests for bids. They could deal in treasure maps, or contracts, or "contracts"...the list goes on. Treasure-hunter's guild, mercenary outpost, engineer staffer; there are a bunch of places these could be. Additionally, it would allow for difficulty-scaled selectable quests, with consistently higher payoff than price.
