BEFORE READING: This is just an idea, I have absolutely no ability to create this. If there already is a bear race out there (a rugged, badass looking one-- no cuddly teddy bears!), please link it below. If not, this is merely a request, and because of this, I will be leaving some info unanswered for your own ideas to discuss. If someone can make this a real thing, please contact me. I'd love to hear it!

    Name: Beotaur

    History:
    Unknown

    Technological Advancement:
How advanced is your Race?: They are quite technology savvy, given spaceships and advanced weaponry. But, their culture slightly lacks modernism.
What "Age" are they at?: Modern-Futurism
Do they have special Technology that differs from other Races?: They have a variation of melee fist weapons at their disposal, since they are known for their vicious hand-to-hand combat. They have also genetically modified bees to produce honey with bizarre qualities. The honey can vary from super strong adhesive that can also be used in surgery for large cuts, to use in metallurgy to perfect and create some of the strongest metals in their known universe.

    Hostility:
How friendly are they to outsiders/invaders?: This species isn't known to make many friends. They only have a few lifetime allies that live close to their homeworld. They will only make contact to outsiders if they have something the Beotaurs want.
Do they attack when provoked?: Beotaurs can be very touchy when it comes to conflict. If another race intimidates them or an ally of theirs, they will take any action that they deem necessary. There is no compromise.
Are they untrustworthy?: Their only trust lies with their allies. But, if they see another race worthy enough, they will somewhat trust them. But once they falter, that trust is forever gone.
Do they try to use the player for their own personal gain?: As stated before, they use others for their resources.

    Historical/Defining/Notable moments:
Things that happened in the past that made the race what they are: There was a complicated dispute between them and another race, but nothing else is known about this.
Discoveries?: Genetic mutation of bees to produce advanced substances from their honey.
Alliances?: The Beotaur prefer to keep their names secret to preserve their trust and friendship.
Technological Advancements?: Advancements in fist weapons. The deadlier the better.
Fatal accidents?: None are known at this current time.
Invasions?: Their security system is top notch around their homeworld. Any hostile invaders have been either destroyed or warded away.
Plagues?: None at this current time.
Natural Disasters?: Large dust storms are a frequent occurrence in their home planet, but these are mostly harmless due to their thick fur.
    Resource Depletion?: Unknown

    Concept art:

    Dress:
All ground military Beotaur wear durable, plated armor, closely resembling medieval Knights. They wear large horned shoulder pads and gauntlets. Each gauntlet is attached to a fist weapon with added bars for grip in combat. Beotaurs that take war to the stars wear heavy armor of the strongest caliber. These suits are very enduring and can take nearly any hit. Everyday wear in cities is just a basic loin cloth covering private areas. Females wear a loose cloth to cover their breasts. More wealthy citizens will wear plated wrist and ankle bands.
What color is each individual part of the Race?: Beotaur fur can vary widely. From white, grey, black, brown, to light brown. Rarely, brindle patterns in their fur can be spotted. Weather it be their entire body, or in patches. It is very common to see Beotaurs with dyed fur in intricate patterns. Each pattern has a meaning that describes them self.
How do the genders differ?: Male Beotaurs are mostly larger and stockier than females. Most males aren't as intelligent as females. Since their body is more fit for fighting, only the males are in the military. Females spend most of their time researching as scientists
What is its height in pixels?: They are taller than all of the races they have come in contact with. Height represents dominance in their culture. The tallest Beotaur would be their leader.

Considering there is a sentient humanoid bear running the Ursa Miner, there's at least canon representation for a species of at least spaceworthy bearfolk. I'd like to see someone make them, perhaps leaning on Viking/fantasy dwarf/earth elementalist (goliath, stone giant) concepts. Having an oversized grizzly bearman is bad enough, but painted in warpaint and running at you screaming with a battlehammer or big metal claws, that's fearsome.
