I am VERY new to Lua and Lua modding in Starbound and decided that it would be a neat skill to learn. To figure out how things work with Starbound, I thought that it would be a great help to me to create a function that would write something in chat. However, after looking for a solution, the only thing I could come up with would be to make a custom radio message, but there I was confused all the more. Is there a function for this built into Starbound that I can use?
