You find your self-waiting at exit bay 13 on the Beacon, crowded amongst others, all nervously watching an overly expensive looking screen. The screen shows a live feed from directly outside the ship, almost everyone watches as the unexplainable black barrier draws nearer, waiting for something to go wrong. As the ship enters the horizon the screen goes black just moments before the rest of the room is plunged into darkness. A horrible second passes and then, the feeling of being dropped in a box from a hundred story building overtakes your senses as it becomes difficult to balance. Somewhere nearby someone screams. You fall for what feels like far longer than it actually is and just when all hope seems lost, the backup generator kicks in. Lights dimmly flicker back on as the engines roar to life, all moments before a bone-shattering impact. @Omicron445 , @Jake9039 , @memelordguy , @BlazingPaladin , @Nathaniel411 At a glance you can tell that the Beacon by no means came out of the crash unscathed, half of the room seems to have completely collapsed in on itself and wires lie haphazardly exposed, sending sparks skittling across the floor. Many of the occupants on the remaining side of the room are in the process of getting up, injured beyond belief or clearly unconscious, others lie deathly still. Just a friendly reminder: (Don't break the rules or I will find you and eat your liver!) No auto hitting. No killing one anothers characters without consent. No being a dick. No god modding, metagaming, etc. No not worshipping The Mushroom Lord as a god-like being. Follow forum rules. Don't eat ducks or mushrooms in my presence.
Lloyd searches around, looking for the injured. OOC: I think 'Dang it, I was to late to edit my character before the RP started'. He has raven-black hair and green eyes that shine with intelligence, and he has a small scar on his cheek from a scrape back when he lived on the streets. Backstory: Coming from a small town in a lesser-known system, Lloyd was orphaned at birth, and had to survive in his town via common thievery. He began learning magic, as it helped him with jobs once he joined a thieves guild. As soon as he saw the chance to get off-world and leave his past behind, he took it, no matter what could happen.
Kyle straightens himself out, checking his body and equipment for damage, then moving around the room to assist others.
You are indeed injured, though it's minor, possible concussion being your biggest risk as the moment. Looking around for a med kit you almost instantly spot one, near the collapsed side of the room. It would appear someone was attempting to access it before the rook caved in on them. ((This is fine.)) It isn't hard to find them, they're everywhere. Nearest to you is a Hylotl who appears to have broken his arm in the crash. Your equipment seems fine and being one of the few people who managed to react fast enough to soften their fall, it would seem you got off with nothing more than some minor bruising. You manage to help a few people up and quickly realise just how many people didn't survive the landing.
Kyle looks around, surveying the carnage. Knowing his medical knowledge wouldn't help anyone, he walks towards the nearest door/hatch/exit, scraping blood off his boots as he goes.
There isn't much you can do for him at this point other than help prop him up on his good arm, none the less he thanks you for your assistance. Checking your own body you find a number of sores and more than a few scrapes, but nothing perminant or debilitating. You manage to gather the supplies from the floor, shoving them back in the medkit. Checking your equipment you find it to have all survived the landing unharmed. There are unfortunately no windows in the room, the only way of observing the outside having been the now very broken screen. That said their is still the actual exit gate which while still closed, seems to have survived mostly intact. An apex appears to be using a terminal next to the exit.
Lloyd checks his equipment, and surveys the damage to the room to determine the best course of action, while searching for a medkit to bring to those in need.
Cobalt looks for a way out of the burning spaceship. When he finds one, he looks for survivors to help down.
Your equipment is in surprisingly good condition, looking around the room you can see damage everywhere, there is a door leading further into the ship, but it doesn't look ready to open anytime soon. The collapsed side of the room is clearly inaccessible and your pretty certain that you can see blood seeping out from underneath. Your assessment of the room reveals that the exit ramp is probably your only way out and you can see two people already standing by the terminal. While you find no medkit of your own you do notice a novakid that seems to be carrying one. It would appear that all doors to this room, save for the main exit are either inaccessible on the burning side of the room or covered by exposed wires. You do however notice the exit door got off surprisingly undamaged, though it's closed two figures, an apex and a human, standing around the exit termanal, presumably trying to get the door open. Looking at the terminal you gather that he's trying to bypass some kind of emergency lockdown feature, but can't really tell how he's going about it. When you speak up he frowns, clearly perturbed by your impatience, but doesn't look up as he addresses you. "Hold your horses kid. I'm trying to get us outta here as fast as I can."
Lloyd walks to a reasonable distance away from the two at the terminal, yelling "GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!" and summons an explosion where the door is.
Kyle leaps backwards as the order is given, getting as far away from the blast as possible, muttering profanities to himself as he tries to protect himself from the blast.
Cobalt does his best to jump a way, then tells the guy that just blasted the door open"hey, you really could have hurt somebody." Cobalt then proceeds to walk to the exit door and see what's beyond it.
Please don't do that, it's rude and out of Role play, and without character. Talking about in character: Cobalt looks towards the people that were next to the door, and asks"are you alright?"
You walk a reasonable distance back, almost to the other end of the room. You summon a cloud of explosive gas and the air around the door quickly becomes heavy, creating a ember and flicking it towards the door. Everything seems to be going well until the last moment when you feel a massive surge of power. For a moment the room is filled with an overwhelming heat and many of the inhabitants are thrown against the wall. When the smoke and fire clears you can see that you did indeed manage to blow the door open (along with the rest of the wall), but also managed to do quite a bit of harm to the other inhabitants of the room. You manage to get to the otherside of the room fast enough and shield yourself from the blast. Unfortunately not everyone was as lucky, the apex you where talking to earlier though alive is clearly on fire and many of the less mobile victims of the crash where badly burnt. Through the door you can see what appears to be a forest, a great deal of debris is present and it would appear that the crash clears out a portion of the forest. Most of the people managed to get away from the explosion, but couple of the people nearest to the door are clearly dead now, and that was by the terminal is rolling on the floor on fire. Someone responds, a human stomping out the singed remains of his shirt, but otherwise unharmed, "I'm fine thanks, it'll take a lot more than that to get rid of me... might need a new shirt though"
