    I was telling you this before :) I've come to conclusion its best to pack mods in your compilation - this will speed up installation, no more problems, when mods remove some files, or change filenames, and even though PAKed mods will initially have bigger file size, when zipped or rared for distribution, they will be almost half the size of your upacked and zipped/rared size.

    You can make some complicated scripts, but I made it rly simple for mysefl - just make a file "PAKmods.cmd" and alternatively "UNPAKmods.cmd"

    ...
    rem PAKing mods with spaces in name
    asset_packer.exe "..\mods\bandit hideouts" d:\backup\starbound\_packing\teihoomods\bandithideouts.pak
    asset_packer.exe "..\mods\bed tiers modifier" d:\backup\starbound\_packing\teihoomods\bedtiersmodifier.pak
    ...
    rem PAKing already packed mods
    copy /y ..\mods\jte_farming\jte_farming-rt.pak d:\backup\starbound\_packing\teihoomods\jte_farming-rt.pak


    Also you'll need to modify all of the modinfo files to include:
    "path" : "PAKED_MOD_FILENAME.pak",

    The final structure should look only with 1 folder, lets say S3r1ous_mods and inside it you'll have all *.pak and all *.modinfo files (2 for each mod).

    I've been avoiding spaces and special chars in *.pak filenames - as for example if you use + (like novakid+.pak) these wont get loaded under Linux - so this way you'll be crossplatform compatible also - same reason to use all small letter cases.

    That would be great if,
    I didnt have to constantly swap, test and repack mods.
    Also if i didnt have to ask permission to modify files of authors.

    Idea is awesome by the way. Only if i didnt have to deal with these problems or had a bigger team it would work probably.

    Hm. How About I make a batch script and a packed version for you? Do not require any credits for it, since I have it already done for myself. And there is no modification to the sources - they're only packed - and you'll be recreating all modinfo files for this - not modifying orginal ones - they will stay inside the *.pak version. Including also how to unpack the mod.

    You know i earlier said that i will report some people for lies....

    In the end... Ill let the mod pack speak for itself. Say what you want. I wont judge you wrong either way.
    All the authors deserve respect for these mods. I hope the work pays off for all of us.

    Every game that has mods, has also mod packs, usually not made by any of the authors of the mods themselves. They're still highly appreciated and mod pack authors are valued for their work assembling a more complete game experience for the users. That said, there is a reason for the "Mod Pack" section in the forum http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/categories/mod-packs.14/

    Hello again, im creating a mod and trying to test it but im having trouble figuring out what mod gives the /admin command. On the server I pay for and host /admin works fine, but for testing purposes im hosting a local dedicated server directly from the game folder and i cant seem to get /admin to work "admin command does not exist". Any ideas or tips and tricks would be well appreciated. :)

    On my payed hosted server (clanforge multiplay) /admin (opens crafting of all items for free) command works great. Im only using your mod pack that i uploaded to my server via ftp, is there a mod in there that is adding the /admin command or maybe that command is added by multiplay?

    Like the author said, this command /admin you have on that server, is a custom command used by the server - or most likely a server wrapper like StarryPy or Starrybound, or some other custom one. You can try and use something like that if you like. I was hoping such commands would be available in the local server, but they are sadly not. I'm still hoping devs will include them soon.

    Ahh yes ok he wasn't very clear on that :p So it is coming from my server and i have to figure a better way to test my mod. Thanks for the help guys.

    Also with tactical armory it only cost 1 pixel to buy ANY tier gun.

    I dont know if its on your end or maybe mine, you might need to investigate since the new .pak mod update nobody can modify their ship (cant break any blocks on any ships). And the ship decoration crafting console has disappeared, the one that had all the ship consoles and landing gears etc. Please if you can investigate and let me know. :)

    Edit - Oh I think its madtulips? not working? Clean install re-testing this.
    Edit - Ok definetly the mod pack, breaks mad tulips. I downloaded his latest and added it to mods and it now works.
