Closed [SOLVED] Invisible Character and Passify bug

So I'm currently having an issue with my character being invisible to others and it seems like I cannot attack any npcs/enemies in multiplayer. Everything else seems to be fine on my end so I'm not sure what could be causing this.

If anyone else is having this issue you should post here as well or please direct me to any other threads.

EDIT: game works fine in single player with the same character. I have no mods.

EDIT 2: SOLVED! Apparently the server needed to have files reuploaded. Hosters watch you server errors for missing files!

I'm having this problem right now. Could you post a more comprehensive explanation of what you did to fix it? What files needed to be reuploaded?

I'm having this issue and very few other players seem to be having it (only one other person that I know of) and the strange things is that I've been on 3 different servers and I have the same issue on each server. Once on a server than nobody had ever heard of the issue or had anyone experience it on their server before. As the first poster, I cannot be seen by others and my weapons do not seem to work. Occasionally I can get a sword to get a hit in but it is not consistent.

I found the answer to my problem. I had the Creative Mode mod installed and it caused me to be invisible to anyone who did not have the mod. I found that removing any custom items and then removing any custom tech (especially the custom tech. my custom tech was the Creative Flight tech) then my problem was solved. If you have mods installed, I would recommend looking into that. I ended up being able to add most of the items back afterwards. Just some of the very strangely modified items were the culprits.

 

By removing, you mean delete the mod? or just remove the item from your inventory?

 

For some reason, teleporting worked for me. If you have the Random or Targeted blink techs, try using those. I used the random blink tech, so I'm not sure if the targeted one works.

My bad, that just made me visible again. I was then not able to use items/hold items/etc. The fix for me was to use the same morph-tech that I was using when my client crashed. If your client crashed while using a morph-tech such as morphball, just use that morph-tech again and you'll be fine.
