Hello. This is a thread for us to share our our observations from the screenshots given.
I shall start with the "Tentacle Monster" screenshot.

    1. Backgrounds such as in Terraria 1.1. Wether they will have paralax is unknown.
2.Squid Monster, either a background, boss or both.
3.Players. This shows multiplayer in action, and you can clearly see character customization due to the differences between the two.
4.Weapons, both guns and melee. Perhaps some exploding rounds?
    5. The "Krabimakaze" most likely a suicide bombing enemy.
6.In the far right, below the sun you see a flying creature. Wether these will be an enemy or not is unknown.
    7. Water. As there are creatures in the water, water exploration seems needed to obtain some loot. The lake (Possibly) has some acidic properties, as it is green. Wether you will need special items to survive that kind of water, if it is actually acidic, is unknown.
8.Currently unknown, there are two green bulb like objects next to the player in green. This is probably some form of plant life. Mabye Frogs. I can't really tell.
9.Angler Fish. They appear to be able to lure smaller fish, then attack, as shown by the left Angler Fish.
10.Small fish. Unknown what type of fish exactly, but is seen escaping from an angler fish. Possibly attracted to light/angler fish lanterns.
    11. Smaller squid tentacles. It appears to be an enemy, unlike (possibly) its larger variety.
    12. The ground of the planet is vastly different colored to Earth. Wether this will affect anything is unknown. Also, the ground is sloped in such a way it appears climbable without constant jumping in some cases.
    13. Sky/ Clouds. Weather is said to be a feature in the game. Wether sky/cloud color is an indicator of coming or possible weather/temperature of that planet is possible, but unknown.

THAT IS INFACT ACID! THIS PROVES IT BEING IN-GAME, STRAIGHT FROM THE CHAT!

    Added artic.

    1. Player name, icon, health and a green bar, possibly energy of some sort.
    2. Iventory hotbar, contains weapons for left/right hand, various healing-looking syringes, bombs and a ray-gun of sorts, in addition to other, less identifiable things.
3.Money and backpack/equipt screen tab, presumably.
4.Snowman Ganster from terraria. Possible enemy or just background image.
    5. Penguin King. Possible enemy/miniboss or just background.
6.Ice cave, with torches, icicles, chest and possibly a gaurdian or player.
    7.Players, once again demonstration multiplayer.
    8. Penguins. Most likely an enemy, possibly passive.
9.Various small fish. Possibly passive. Note the small pink fish/krill sheltering in the coral. Possibly being hunted by the swimming penguin?
    10. Coral. Most likely ingredient of sorts.
11.Tree. Possibly useful, if not background.
    12. More water, once again showing swimming. This time a player is partially submerged, showing a (possible) water-sprint mechanic.
    13. Iceberg, with mamoth-like skull inside. Unknown use, perhaps just decor.
    14.Brain-jellyfish. Most likely agressive.
15.Artic plants. Possible use in crafting.
    16. Penguin near a player. Possibly a pet/captured enemy.
    17. Possibly frigid temperatures/water. May get a de-buff unless a type of thermal suit is worn.
    18. Aurora/Icebergs, most likely background.
Tell me if I missed anything.

I shall update this with more screenshot analysis later.

Complete speculation, but to the right of the bombs, does that not look like a turret to anyone else?

    Nice observations.
I don't think the green water is actually acid (but I could be wrong) because water isn't even blue, it doesn't have to be blue.
There are many ways the water can look green, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Besides, my programming is fundamentally different.

Assuming you're the space core from Portal 2, in which the events occur more than a few hundred years in the future from present time, I'd conclude you're from the future. The last part of my previous post was a joke.

A few hundred years in the future?
Well, that isn't a very convincing lie.
