I don't know if this was already posted, but I think it would be fun if you could mix seeds and make new plants late game. maybe even push this as far a trees? I would imagine that this would not work all the time but if you take the risk, it could pay off with cool hybrids.
I think we had a discussion about this on the old forums. I don't know if it'll be in the game though
