My thought is that it would be a cool occurrence to sporadically see mobs say random things with chat bubbles. Perhaps certain random heads could occasionally say things relating to what it is most like, as in: A more humanoid head says "Time to die!" or if it's neutral "Greetings". Another head of some sorts might let out an aggressive noise "BLLLARK!" or perhaps a friendly "Pweep!" I figured it would not only be a fun thing to see on rare occasion, but moreover serve as a sort of reward that would add on to the list of things to encourage players to keep exploring planets. I mean, how cool would it be to tell your friends that your home planet generates this rad creature that says "SKREEE!" or this suspicious robotic enemy that specifies it's intentions to you, "TERMINATE FOREIGNER." and lastly you know of a planet that hosts an uncomfortably quiet creature, "..." What do you think about this? Any thoughts/suggestions regarding this concept?

Huh, this is a really simple thing that I'd actually love to be in the game. Just so long as there dialogue doesn't end up cluttering up the player chat. That'd be irritating. But I'd totally love for the enemies and pets to have little words and cries as they go around doing what they do.
Just make sure the resulting text doesn't repeat multiple times in a short space of time. God, I HATE the neverwinter NPCS "DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS? HAVE YOU DONE THIS YET? HEY! LISTEN!"
"WHY?! WON'T?! YOU?! DIE?!" - Imperial Guard, TES Oblivion "Eugh! Mud crabs, disgusting creatures!" Every single npc in the game, TES Oblivion "You have the look of a Mage. You should visit the college in Winterhold." Every single town's person to the archmage of the college in Winterhold, TES Skyrim Bethesda has bad random dialogue down to a science.
Down with the LEGO usurpers! We of the Kiddicraft Empire will rise again! (Poor Kiddicraft, they came first, but LEGO had proper marketing.)
My Grandfather gave me a set of them. They were ancient, but looked identical to LEGO. They even linked properly with modern LEGO.
Yeah, he was a cool old dude. He collected things from all over the world. Bit of a pack rat, actually. I've still got his collection of pocket watches on my shelf. One from each country he visited in his life. Forty three in total. I hope to be half as awesome as he was. ... wow, I have derailed the heck out of this thread. Oops
Yeah I wasn't imagining the text to appear in chat, rather just in the bubble above the entity's head here and there. Short phrases and onomatopoeia's that only appear on a rare occasion. Although of course this could be something that is added to every creature but I figure that would be a concept that would be tried and then scrapped as it probably doesn't add quite much for what it is... Which is why I see it as something that would be special if it were done sporadically. You also have to keep in mind that there will NPC's (which there hasn't been much of anything shown of them yet) but I would assume them to say things with chat bubbles.
Looks like they've added some form of this idea to some baddies now: "Configured bandits and cultists to shout at you upon attacking, because you should never understate the importance of a good battle cry." (http://playstarbound.com/23rd-and-24th-october-progress/) With NPC's and now occasional bandits and cultists... I think it is more than reasonable to include it on an occasional random mob. Nonetheless we'll just have to see
