    Also, apparently marking color now affects the inside of your Inkling's mouth, too.
    This happened purely by accident, because I had no freakin idea that the emote spritesheet is affected by playercharacter parameters.

    hey im replying here because you cant edit reviews, but what i meant on the weapons is that they seem more like normal weapons from starbound just with a different texture and stats there aren't really any unique feeling weapons (except for the bombs those are good)

    That's true though-- the weapons are all based off of vanilla Starbound ones with unique textures and animations. I'm admittedly not very familiar with how to make unique weapons, even if I'd love to make something like a slosher. I might make unique particle effects at some point for additional ink goodness, though..

    This really is more of a race mod than a weapon mod, either way. There's tons of thematic colorful weapons, but that's simply because Inklings have a lot of them.

    In other news, it's awful frustrating to try and figure out how to make randomly-spawning mini dungeons when there's no recent-ish tutorials for it that use Tiled. >:v

    But while that means that dungeons are a bit of a ways off, it 1. doesn't stop me from making minidungeons to someday implement, and 2. I can put my effort into other things, like... maybe initial swings at ship design? <3

    thanks i know that making them is hard (as i tried to make some for a personal mod then gave up and just did Armour) and honestly i love your mod (I'm really more frustrated with this one author on steam who made a splatoon weapon mod but still hasn't put it on teh forums) keep making this awesome mod and i look forward to seeing how the micro dungeons and end ship turn out! :D :nurunaughty: BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:lickitung:

    Apparently this completely break frackin races now according to sayter. Would it be possible to fix the incompatibility or just add the racial effects to FR instead so it won't be a problem in the future?

    Probably a long shot but figured I would ask anyways. Not very fair to other players if inklings have abilities but they don't and vise-versa so kind of need FR support from the look of things

    So I've always noticed that the Inkling Crafting Table seemed to be missing it's exit X, which has been kind of annoying at times, but I seem to have finally found Bigfoot in the .log file.

    There's more, but it's just these lines repeating over and over with different timestamps.

    I feel as if I have made a grand discovery finding these lines of error messages. As though I am on the verge of toppling a great foe. Or something.

    And on a completely unrelated note the Modernized TV still doesn't seem to be able to turn off.

    That said, I'm basically trying to do a deep scrub to find anything amiss that I can since I'm feeling like trying to be helpful again.

    Fixed it! The folder path was messed up for some mysterious reason.

    + oh my goodness that graffiti you linked over on the mod's Steam Workshop page. Can I touch up that graffiti with a bit of shading and then implement it? I'm in stitches over the "HE DOES IT" one.

    So.
    After a bit of thought, I'm going to go ahead and say that I'm gonna add Octolings as their own species to this mod.
    They're not going to be 100% divergent: they already share a lot of anatomical appearance with Inklings, and while they clearly have a different society and aesthetic going on, there's still going to be an amount of overlap because of all the similarities.

    I'm doing basic spriting stuff right now; I doubt I'll add them to the mainstream mod release until they have all their own assets.
    Can't give an ETA since there's a lot of work to do, but I'll probably have them at least playable in early-mid May, depending.

    But.. well, here's some plans so far.

    - Different face/eyes, unique hairstyles, same body outline w/different markings.
    - Different racial stats, although they're also going to have the reduced breath capacity and slime-immersion regeneration.
    - Unique voice samples and sounds, as well as completely new dialogue for racial/NPC interactions and object descriptions.
    - Shared armor sets that diverge on certain tiers. I know for sure that tier 4, 5, and 6 will have different sets available, and tier 2 might also change.
    - Probably the same pet, but with forms unique to the Octoling ship/species.
    - Similar ship, different colors. I really hate messing with the ship, and I'm tempted to just commission someone to sprite me unique ships at this point. >:I
    - Unique SAIL. Probably a cute little Octotrooper.
    - Shared weapon sets with a few alternate versions, depending..
    - Some degree of unique furniture, they also might end up sharing stuff.
    - Mostly new codices. A few will be shared (like "Turf War for Dummies") while others will be unlocked from the start (such as the two diaries by a certain someone).
    - Probably unique food recipes and other things like that.

    tl;dr octopi eventually
