Stardew Valley won't start

Whenever I try to start Stardew Valley (v1.3.28, SMAPI v2.6), I get this error message in the console, and the game doesn't start. However, the icon for the game does show up in my dock as if it's launched. I'm using the latest version of Mac. After I uninstalled SMAPI to see if that would work, the game still wouldn't launch, but this time it doesn't leave an error message because the console doesn't open if you don't use SMAPI. Again, the icon appears in my dock, but the game doesn't appear. What can I do? Alternatively, I could downgrade to v1.3.27, but I don't know how.

    Error message:

EDIT: I got it working myself again. Apparently I just had to follow these instructions: https://steamcommunity.com/app/413150/discussions/1/142261027578604089/
