Steam bug: 'Running' 'Syncing' then nothing

I've been playing Stardew for a few months now and have logged around 75hrs of game time. I'm enjoying it but i'm amazed to see there's so many bugs/issues?!

I recently tried to open the game as usual on steam to no avail. Next to the games' name in the library it says 'Running' for around 5-10s then quickly 'Syncing' for maybe 0.5s before going blank and no screen loads with no sound.

Yesterday I thought I found the solution by installing driver updates for my headset, which worked - the game started as normal! It was opening multiple times in the evening. I go to load it today and we're back to square one where it's refusing to open.

I have no idea why it's not working nor why the driver for my headset solved it and then further why it's stopped working again?!

I've been trying everything on the steam forums but nothing is working. Please help
