Bug/Issue Steamconflict with starbound

so, i just had to wipe my whole universe, including a few pretty big ongoing projects
why? because for some reason starbound doesnt launch with steam anymore

AT ALL!?
no overlay, all the workshop mods gone (thats why i had to wipe my universe to even be able to play the game without crashing), and no screenshots

what is happening, and how can i get rid of this issue

the issue can be solved by restarting steam as administrator

 

did you try reinstalling the game?

i just reinstalled it, and it didnt change the fact that steam is not a part of this game anymore

 

How are you launching the game?

 

via steam, thats why it is so weird

also, whenever i start the game, it opens up a pop up and ask me how i want to launch the game:
play starbound
launch dedicated server
open modding uploading tool
open 32 bit version

 

The popup is normal.

Doesn't sound like a game issue though.

 

you are right, starbound is not hte only game that has this issue

 

running steam as admin solved the problem, for now
