NPCs talking to my character is so immersive I feel like I could talk right back and they would answer. Programming NPCs to respond to chat would take a lot of work and things, but a dialogue system is far from impossible. It's already amazing how atmospheric it is to walk around in NPC towns, and a dialogue tree would make it a great deal moreso. Plus I really want to convince that glitch guard to let me in the castle without bloodshed.
If the roadmap is up to date/correct, NPC Interaction is at 60%, so its pretty fair to assume that a dialogue system with few choices should be in the works.
Yes, I'd like to chat with NPCs through the use of keywords, and varied responses by player's diction.
