Once upon a time, in a far away land, in the galaxy of L.33.T P.4.0, there were 6 little humans playing in the grass. These little humans really liked grass, but hated all the evil, gross, grass eating bugs! At first, it was just one or two bugs at a time, quite easy to get rid of. However, after a while, more and more seemed to show up, untill finally... "It's a swarm!" The little humans ran for dear life, leaving their wonderful grass in the hands of those evil bugs. As you can see, this situation didn't go so well for our friends, because they had no control of the situation, and they were quickly out-numbered. However, using the powers of love, and care, and food, our friends may have been able to save their grass! Now, let's try this setting again, this time with taming capabilities implanted in our friends tiny human brains. (6 humans and a time machine later) Once upon a time, in a far away land, in the galaxy of L.33.T P.4.0, there were 6 little humans playing in the grass. These little humans really liked grass, but hated all the evil, gross, grass eating bugs! However, they knew deep down, the bugs were just lonely, and needed a friend, so they offered the bugs their hugs and berries! The bugs were very happy, and they allowed the humans to put collars on them, and even give them custom names! When the swarm arrived, the bugs fought with the humans, and defended the grass they loved! now tamed, the bugs were able to be so much more than a common foe. The humans could mount the bugs, and train them. Whenever the bugs were hurt, the humans could now feed them and restore their health. The loyal bugs would also sleep by their masters, and guard their junk! In the end, the bugs received love, food, and attention, and the humans received a loyal friend (with benefits) The End. Tl;DR: It'd be neat if you could tame foes with food items, and once tamed, you'd be able to name them, mount a few of them, and have them fight for you. They would guard you, receive healing from you, and sleep by your side.
What about receiving healing from the player and sleeping by your side? That's kind of rare, isn't it?
