I would love to have Skillet - Monster, We will rock you - Queen and theme songs from The Hobbit! Especially the Lonely Mountain song and the one they sings when cleaning up the dishes!

I could try. I already attempted to convert what people are basically now calling "Fight da powah!", but it didn't turn out well. That one would take some work, but I'd love that one in my own personal collection, and it'd be well worth it.

Kirby's listed it (considering I currently don't take requests myself) so we'll try.

I actually haven't played Deus Ex, so until I got to the song making, I wouldn't have figured it out. I would've eventually, though.

He's listed them. I can see We Will Rock You sounding off without a two to three-track split, though. (Lead vocal, that electric guitar, the drums!
I may take that one myself when I have the time.

If this error persists, I'll probably post this workaround on the first post.

    ===
I am currently slow in making songs because something has come up in my family suddenly. It isn't why I closed commissions to me (I was overflowed a bit. I can't take too much at once), but it does effect how often I'll be posting.

I found we will rock you so scratch that one. Just the Hobbit songs and Monster Skillet if possible!

Registered just to say I love this thread and the powers that drive it.

Needs more irish folk music though! Like, I dunno...

    • Whiskey In The Jar
    • Scarborough Faire
    • Old Rosin the Beau
    • Wild Rover
    • Auld Lang Syne
That would really tickle my fancy. I'd also recommend some songs from my favorite irish-themed band, Brobdingnagian Bards:

    • Buttercup's Lament
    • Johnny Jump Up
    • Soul Of A Harper
    • Old Dun Cow
    • Patriot Game
Please, consider these suggestions, not requests!

Hi, any chance y'all could take a crack at The Protomen songs? Ideally "The Hounds", although I'd love "Unrest in the House of Light" as well.

There's some fan-made piano covers of their songs here, which might be of help:

    Thanks very much!

I hope some cowboy bebop songs are in the works! after all I would say that you can't really call yourself a fan of anime if you don't know what cowboy bebop is. :D

Which instrument sounds loveliest when playing Doctor Who theme?

Microphone sucks (As always), Hammered Dulcimer, Ocarina (Song of Storms is awesome) and the Lead Guitar don't sound well with it. Hmm...

    YES!

Edit: Also, any shanty would be awesome too!

    Nice taking requests.

I see a few problems here.

    - Impractical to just get many songs at once. your zip.tutorial fails for many people on other browsers.
    - The collection looks bigger than it is and the way its hosted makes it take way too long to get it.
    - This is nice to pick and choose from and i see a few items worth picking, but other people did this already a bit better.
    - you just added some songs you like, with next to no relation to starbound. nice votes though. builds a theme. cant chose what others request.
    - so many overlapping with other peoples songs, often with identical sources, sometimes one sounds just better in starbound.
    - I see the benefits of using google drive for smaller cooperations and less dupes, yet you cant be all inclusive and there are always dupes with external sources.
    - re-hosting disclaimer, yeah, that's just insane and meaningless, given what you've got there. I can do the same, better or worse, doesn't mean I copied you or you copied me. You made pretty much NONE of the midi sources and that's by far most of the work towards the resulting abc thats just a SIMPLE conversion almost always. Midi composing work that you are not referencing at all yet you demand to be mentioned as source for klicking less than a dozen times times per song?. You shall be ignored for that. I don't think ill be surprised much by "your" contribution going far beyond that. ill comment on it eventually if its crap or awesome.

    ---
    and done,

nothing special to summarize other than offering a pretty good "DrWho opening" and 10 more decent songs that I never even looked for before yet find interesting enough. nothing special because Sora_Mimi_Cake was exactly the overloaded solo-instrument that I expected it to be among others. They work but are far from optimized, jut a quick conversion done that anyone can do just as quickly. compare that with a monotone version of axel f and Rainbow Factory that play exactly one note at any time (because i made it so) making them sound good on ANY instrument while staying perfectly in rythm and causing very little traffic.

    ---

    make 3 big main folders:

    games
    tv/anime
    record/audio

You can put simple sub-genres in them.

as far as instruments are concerned. i tested many instruments on many songs and hierarchy is like this (best instruments first):

    - trumpet , makes almost any song sound good. Harmonica sounds worse but works on even more songs.
    - harmonica , makes all songs sound decent, is generally second choice.
    - Banjo , in the rare case where there are too many short notes mixed with long notes in parallel, the banjo sounds better than trumpet and harmonica. banjo is easily the best guitar. no note overlapping shows a song clearly. sometimes too clearly.
    - Flute/Oboe , Flute and oboe have problems with short notes in general. notes often overlap too much into ugly disharmonics. Trumpet has far less overlapping of notes with a quicker falloff. Oboe sounds too deep and flute sounds too high for some songs.
    - Harp , can sound very good because there are no drums and usually not too much octave range between instruments. They sound bad with high octave ranges and songs with much base though.

All other instruments can sound better, but are more specific to certain octave ranges and tempos.

This song doesn't exist. Maybe it's supposed to be "ABBA - Take a Chance on Me" or "A-ha - Take on Me"?

DUE TO THE LARGE REQUEST AMOUNT, THE REQUESTS IN THIS POST AND BEYOND ARE ON THE BACKBURNER UNTIL THE REST GET DONE!
I am currently switching computers, so I need to speed it up a bit and not add anymore files onto here.

    My mistake. It is indeed A-ha. Thanks. ^_^;

None of the instruments really sound good with that right now, since I'm thinking of recomposing it into the right key. Though, I don't believe .abc will reach as high as it should go.

    Any specifics?

The link helps only in helping me know what the song sounds like, unfortunately. I refuse to convert from mp3 because I no longer have Finale (MP3 - Sheet Music - MIDI converter)
I may try later though. (See above)

We'll see. Thanks for the suggestions.

OOOH dear... those sound interesting. Why didn't I think of this yet?

I've actually been looking for some for awhile. And no, I couldn't call myself one if I didn't know.

This is all a matter of opinion. In our case, Kirby and I collectively prefer the Xylophone, Harp, Koto, Electric Bass, Electric Lead (rarely), etc.
I kind of don't like harmonica with most of these songs, and the trumpet tends to get way too high.
I know this from testing these songs with the instruments that currently exist in the game.

Did I seriously not uploa... DANGIT! Those should be up now. Sorry. I forgot to upload them if there's anything else on there you can't find, I probably forgot those as well.

Considering that's a type of drum, and I'm currently not working with drums, we'll see what happens when this gets off the back burner.

    You're funny.
    1. Already? Did this better? I like your jokes. There were only two other song threads that actually offered albums in .zip files when this was released. The third just re-hosted. Starbards' song list didn't even exist. If you want to say "Already", double-check the creation date.
    2. Working on it. A quarter of the songs haven't been uploaded yet.
    3. Impractical? Why would you want a My Little Pony song if you're not a brony? Why would we force you to get every song in a .zip file? This answers that nicely.
    4. Point? Am I supposed to be making this stuff out of the Starbound OST or something and nothing else? There's no limit to the songs you can have.
    5. And? I looked at other threads trying to make giant bundles, they took from LOTRO resources, too, initially. However, they don't have what we want. Go to one, play a few songs. Have fun getting my point.
    6. Kirby and I don't work on the same songs. We have a note to make sure we're working on separate songs. Once a song is updated the previous one is removed. That solves that entirely.
    7. About the re-hosting disclaimer: Did you know Ponex uses our MLP music under the recommendation of someone else and to the mod maker, we didn't exist? I don't know if the someone else took credit or not, but I fixed that. This is why that's there. We actually did work on some of those songs, took time out of our days to make them. By the way. "Sword Art Online - Crossing Field (BY DELOS-X, ARRANGED BY TEHISHTER). If I know the origin, I will do so. Don't jump to conclusions. You're only making a further idiot of yourself.

Post another one of these baseless comments and I will request mod action. I don't like hate in this thread.
Remember. I'm not an idiot. ^_^
