Mods are cool but annoying I have never played with mods on starbound but i have on other games like Dont starve together and Fallout4 and having too many mods is Annoying for other friends

What if your friend had like 15 mods and you want to play with him but Uh oh you have to Download them

And they can Break your game super fast but they do give you a Nice experiance but still

    its annoying

Personally, that is why I enjoy the "collection" features.

You can group all the mods you use in a single collection, then add a simple "download/remove all" button.

Makes it -much- easier and faster to set up the logistics of modded multiplayer.
A large server could thus set up their own custom collection of mods specifically tailored to the goals and desires of that server, allowing a very extensive set of mods to be used but still be as easy as downloading a single one because it becomes a matter of clicking a single button whether the collection has 5 or 15 mods.

They're buggy and broken only if you aren't smart about installing them, same with every game. If you haphazardly install junk mods that aren't properly made and you don't test the ones you have already before installing more then you can expect a broken game. Otherwise they open up a world (or several) of possibilites.

I use several current mods and none of them are buggy or broken. Any bugs in them are minor and usually fixed.

Mods provide the ability for a game to last indefinitely. An example is Mount & Blade, which already gives you hundreds of hours and play-time on it's own, but then when mods are thrown into picture, potentially thousands!

Mods can be broken, and sometimes are not the greatest quality, and sometimes just don't belong in the game. That's what makes them brilliant though, since the original creators already have their "image" of the game, and stick with that, and mods can be added to just change their image to fit your personal preference!

So far, I have not been using any mods for Starbound yet, just because I still have plenty more of the Vanilla game I want to play before jumping into any mods yet! But maybe in a few months I'll go explore the mods out there!
