I'll end the chapter "Baz-Ar" with a video, showing the whole village! That's it. After sand... we'll heading to snow.
This is awesome, Beatrice! Also, as you said, the Leveen have banks, right? Have you constructed a bank for them yet? I love to see your amazing structures!
I wanted to create a bank, yes, it was logical! As the Leeven lore has some hints that the Leeven had an important role in the invention of the Pixel printer and also establishing Pixels as universal currency (no one of the story writers thought of something like that, eh? Why do all the races use the same money? Interstellar banking, yes!) they are also known bankers. As there are many references to italian and dutch history in the Leeven history, it's only logical that they are engaged banksters... bankers. But I wasn't so happy with the existing furniture. There is not much what I could've used... therefore I hope I may add something like a bank in the future. There is an interesting mod by @Mackinz which has blocks made of Voxels. This goes much more in the direction I intended. But even if I turn to something different at the moment, this won't be the last chapter in the book of Leeven architecture. Don't worry, if CF introduces something handy, I will use it.
After months, I had time again to play some hours of Starbound with the new update. No one missed me? Fine Well, I still don't have much time at the moment, but a friend in MP-mode invited me back in August to build something in an asteroid field, where some members of our servers build their own little projects. And because I felt I had a duty to build something after a month had passed, I joined and built something on a small meteor. Nothing great, but at least something to share. Also, I really loved to try the new furniture... and wanted to create something unique. This little location is called "Barchetta". First, we have a look at the house which is heavily based on the Victorian Style, and such, Steampunk seems a good choice... hello, my first tenants! Have a look at the odd wood structure on the upper left. What could be there? Sure, if we go victorian... there should be a hot air balloon! Behind the house, the asteroid has a small forest with cherry blossom trees... ... which ends here... ... where an airship waits with its captain. To be honest, this airship is inspired by a screenshot I saw looooong time ago, and since then, I wanted to build the same object for myself. So no credit to me! It's a bit different, but still not my idea... And here we have another small asteroid, which I used as an arrival point for other members. For a better overview: the house and the garden. And here the whole project, including two tiny floating islands.
Glad you are back! I really like the new project. Different from your old stuff, and still very well done.
Thanks, but someone on my server remarked that I should do more on that asteroid! Owwwww, I'll give you a free hug! Thanks like always! Well, I wanted to do something more "fantastic" on that asteroid, and will return to something more regular in my next posts... There was another project I did for another person, including a christmas village on a snow planet for penguins. Just a small village, using the old X-mas stuff from angry koala (yes, back in December 2013!). For those who don't like admin mode, just skip it. The projects after that will be admin-mode free, once again.
After such a long time in the desert of Baz-Ar... we should move to colder places... Welcome to Nak Nak! A project I made some months ago for a possible Snow village, maybe even for Penguin NPCs. Welcome to this peaceful, idyllic place, where good and just Penguins have established a spot for christmas stuff... at least, they say so.
LOL. I didn't have much time to play or check the forums in the past months. There was a lot to see in this thread.... I'm collecting materials and I hope I'll soon be back to building too.
Yeah, I noticed that you were absent, too. Welcome back Here some other buidlings from Nak Nak, where I re-used the old x-mas stuff from 2013. It seems that these Penguins have changed their ways, and established themselves as honest traders and produceers of holiday stuff. Look at these houses! Really, they are totally different now! Look at these cute houses, the fine interior and the harmless appeareance... it's good that even these perfiodious birds can change! Even if I have this strange feeling that they may hide something from me... hm.
Suggestion for the Christmas Village platforms... use the Skyrail Booster platforms. They're white with a red stripe...
Thanks, intersesting suggestion. However, I don't like the noise the skyrail makes when jumpin on the plattform in the middle of wooden decoration
And here is the center of Nak Nak! The toy factory! It's good to have the feeling, that these righteous Penguins have fully embraced the spirit of christmas, working, cheering and helping to make even your holidays a full succes. Great! However... ... why do I have this strange feeling that the Penguins are hiding something from me...?
Having a closer look at the factory, it seems like... ... well, this is some evidence. And these books seemed rather interesting, but instead, they opened a hidden door. And where does this switch lead to? So many questions... but most important: what kind of toys may a Penguin hide? Morphball tech is your friend. Well... I didn't expect the Penguin Inquisition... Are these still christmas toys? I don't know WHAT the Penguins are supposed to do in this area, but for me, they are preparing an invasion. This smells fishy. Really fishy... Penguins, oh my. Better I leave that place and move on.
In fact, this lab includes two traps: there is a basin full of lava which will float if you get to the bridge (the one between the UFO's and the tanks), and another before the control room.
