We move to another planet which belongs to the Republic; with Baz-Ar, we have a planet for the Leeven, Nak Nak for the Penguins, and I also tried to build a theoretical Novakid Village! Welcome to Howdy! Yes, Howdy is a name Something very important happened here, and because of that, this historic building was preserved. Maybe a duel happened. Or a siege. No one knows... well, Novakids. Do I have to add something?
Thank you so much! Seems that Penguins will NEVER change their ways! The Novakid village will remain as it is at the moment, even if I had greater plans for it (no Sheriff, no prison, no bank, no Ranch and no obligatory Hylotl-Laundy? Come on!)... but at the moment, the integration of Novakids seems to be very, VERY incomplete. Unfortunately, they will only spawn with the Saloon interior; only 6 (in words: SIX!) objects make them spawn. And if I combine it too much with Glitch stuff, I'll get a Glitch instead of a Novakid. This makes it rather frustrating to build something big for them, if I don't want to re-use the same objects over and over, or let the spaces empty. Also, as someone may point out... they all look the same! Everyone has the same Saloon clothes. As far as I know, CF won't adress this problem in the near future... so, sadly, I won't do more for them at the moment
I've already found the file responsible for them to look all the same. Let me see what i can do for you tomorrow. Do I know what I am talking about? I think so: One can add variations, which are then chosen randomly at spawn, to the template. It's just so that the original template doesn't have any. hehehe See you tomorrow... maybe same time. EDIT: This would be a "no worries MOD". Tenants will be saved "as is" in the world file after spawn, which means that you can delete the ONE file anytime afterwards without having to fear to lose your world or anything similar terrible. The only thing happening after removing the MOD is that, if you ever remove the deed that spawned a modified tenant, it is gone forever. That's all.
That's very kind... unfortunately I'm playing on a server which prohibits Mods... However, I'm sure that many other players with the same issue would be thankful for a Mod fixing this issue! Thanks for your work!
Oh, that's sad to hear, but understandable. Mhhh... I am currently working on a "Cooler Guards" MOD, which I consider releasing after I am pleased with it. I would have interrupted my work just for you. No joke. I love your buildings and if the lack of Novakid-variations is the only thing holding you back, I would have helped out with pure pleasure. See, I even haven't touched a single Saloon-thing ingame myself, because this is not my cup of tea. I am more the "future gone bad / future as it should be" guy. I also can find some pleasure in Steampunk, but the cowboy-thing I leave to the US americans, sorry. If you change your mind or want something looked into / helped out with something: Just let me know. As already said, I love your work and it's a pleasure to look at.
Yes, and I've seen your marvellous building(s) in this style. There is also something else. I love the look of the Sandstone-Set and the atmosphere it spreads, but for the life of me I can't build anything cool with it.
Dare to not turn this into a wonderful crazy "Steampunk Clocktower" connected to a "Victorian Library"! You know that vanilla has a new and cool HUGE library-set. You have to cheat it in, though.
So, first, I have to elaborate a bit: Back in December 2014, my original Server was shut down due to the inactivity of the Starbound Community. I lost San Leone, San Clemente (the Garden Planet), San't Alessandro (the Moon with Tiyuri's statue) and San Dionisio (the Jungle with a small colony and a mine) when this happened. At the End of January 2015, I lost San Geronimo, which was located on a new server, but the new Patch was an apocalypsis to this project. In February, a new federation was founded on the Server, called simply The Republic. RPG-wise, San Leone and my other projects were "Founding Fathers" of this new association, also including outposts of other races (San Leone was only a human republic). Also - RPG-wise - San Leone and its old colonies still exist in this context (they are only not visible). A new capital, named Concordia, was founded as heart of this newly organized Republic. Vacanza (the Ocean planet with the lovely holiday homes), Baz-Ar (the Leeven Colony), Nak Nak (the Penguin village) and Howdy (Novakid) belong also to this federation; in fact, Vacanza is the Moon of Concordia, and the big planet in the background of Vacanza is Concordia itself. Vice-versa, you can see Vacanza from Concordia. After several struggles, which you can also re-read in this thread - including mostly problems with perfomance in the MP-mode since the January Patch, mobs living on human-made structures (VERY ANNOYING! when building BIG!), and scarce free time - my TRUE MAJOR project went on a long hiatus. For six months, Concordia was nominally the seat of The Republic, but didn't exist. Now, I began with work, having some friends giving me a helping hand, and from today on, the capital is evolving from a mere Ocean planet to the heart of an interstellar and interracial federation of at least 15 different worlds. So, let's have a look at the Spawn - the Senate! Furniture will come! I only wanted to show this picture to show the wonderful, harmonious structure and the glorious laurel in the center (it's the symbol of the Republic). I'm very proud when it comes to this juwel. And here by night. As you may have guessed, Concordia will be largely build in Victorian style (with the exception of a Venetian themed quarter). So more stuff is coming! Enjoy!
Well, I have to say: I really love your work. I admire, that you can build big structures without having empty spaces or the same pattern repeating over and over and over again. Great!
