As an avid tree-builder... and what a weird opening line that was... I suggest using the reddish wood found in Floran Villages and Bone Biome structures rather than the common stuff you get from knocking down trees... at least for exteriors. The edges are irregular so it looks a bit more natural. If you're making in-tree tunnels, which you clearly are, then put the lighter wood inside. (I might thin out the "inner bark" level to one block wide.) Also, Wooden Platforms in the under-corners of your branchse can really smooth out some of the blocky look of those branches. You may need to alternate between the two color-types on any stretch longer than 1 block high (again, there's a different slightly-redder type in Floran Villages) and paint them to match up, but I find it makes the undersides look nicer. They also make nice branch-enders.
So, this is your try on a "performance tree" then? It has this "witch-look" surrounded by asian architecture... mhhh... must be "A chinese ghost story" then. Looks beautiful, as always.
Haha, thanks, but it's a rather simple building. However, I really like it, because it has a harmonic feeling of balance. Well, except for the exaggerated furniture, but Beatrice is an archaeologists, and she likes to collect all the stuff she robbed.. er... found in the galaxy. And here is the neighbouring building on the right, which you may have seen in the screenshot above: the House of Butterflies!
This house belongs to a human player. in fact, its the home of the Great Aedil, one of the most important men of the Republic. However, he has a rather special... taste.
As far as I know, Great Aedil Samuel has a liaison with a demon. She also works as my secretary. A rather complicated story. However, Samuel comes from Earth, and Shinobu from a Midnight planet, but Canada was a good guess, at least. Hihi, thanks
An Avian soldier lives in this house; the building on the left remains free, as the Great Questor/Bursar is interested in it (SOLD!), but didn't move in yet.
