Mob Trappers

Trappers are an extremely adaptable plant-like monster. They disguise themselves as a common sight, but as you get near them a large tendril will wrap around your character and pull it inside of it. It pulls you inside to its "Stomach" which is a large chamber filled with acidic compounds. There are small spots in the stomach that you can stand on and not be damaged by the acid. You must shoot a strange dangling organ that makes the monster vomit you back up. Once it vomits you up, it uproots itself and becomes enraged. You can only kill it when its uprooted, if you attack it while its rooted it will attack you instantly until it grabs you, or if you get out of its range.

Underground- When you get near it, a large ditch will open up and a tendril will attack you by dragging you into the ditch.
Stomach organ health- 200
Main body health- 500
Enraged- The large beast has uprooted itself and is coming towards you! Kill it!

Drops- Acidic compounds, strange organs, Large seed. (Other things?)

Attacks- Melee/Ranged
Melee- It swings large throned tendrils at you while attacking you, it can wrap them around you and squeeze you repeatedly.
Ranged- It spits globules of acid at you, the acid will kill and plant life it lands on.

It is a relatively rare spawn.

Due to the creatures adaptability it can be found in habitable planets where it can blend into its surroundings.

It can also appear on any habitable planets with plantlife.

It can disguise itself as...
A pile of rocks.
A patch of large flowers.
A large swath of weeds.
A small cave.

Im still so new to the drawing and linking....
My friend wox is a good spriter, maybe he';; make a sprite of a Trapper swallowing someone!

 

Maybe even of a trapper, with one of my 'stingers' hiding right inside its mouth! Dual threat combo!!!

 

Its stomach is filled with deadly toxins and acids.
Only a few area in the stomach are able to be stood on and not be affected by them.
...Though...A symbiosis of some sort would be neat, the stingers feeding off the prey the trapper catches and sending the left overs into the stomach...?
