RELEASED Vespoids! 1.04

Wow, this mod is the bees knees! (wow, that pun was sad) cant wait for more updates! So far, no bugs! yaaay!

 

I might need some help.
It seems I have downloaded and successful put the folder into the mod folder. I then start up starbound and see the Vespoids in red thing on the bottom right. I try to make a new character and there is no bee race D;
Can anyone help?

 

Install a character extender.
I recommend Xbawks by Kawa or ODB2

What do you mean you can't use it? o:

 

Did you install it correctly? Did you install a character creation menu extender alongside it, like SolaerSelect?

 

Would mind making a patch that rather than having their own honey and whatnot it utilizes the bees mod? they conflict otherwise.

 

I enjoy the races, just stinks when there is duplicates of items preventing me from using bothe mods (IE: "Liquid honey")

 

The mod description clearly states - download from the description link, not from the direct mod-repo link.
Direct links have trouble updating sometimes, so that's an outdated version.
I just checked the description-version and there it's "honeyliquid" instead of "liquidhoney", preventing collisions.

The update issue sucks, but there's not really much that can be done from the modders side of things.

 

My Vespoid char, Flowersinger!

Spoilered due to size.
I LOVE the Vespoid race, and very much enjoy using it alongside the Bees! Mod. Flowersinger is the Queen of bees, and has a massive hive producing lots of yummy honey. XP
I have no idea what the race looks like outside the pixel art... So I used the Asian Giant Hornet and Honeybees in general for influence in the design, hope you like it!

I know I'm, like, 4 months late but I APPROVE.

The sprite looks more like a wasp rather than a bee, though that might be intentional.

 

It's why I fixed it to say bee/wasp.

It does make sense. Vespidae is the scientific family name for wasps in general. They also don't have the fluff that bees have, and are longer and thinner, more streamlined. They can also be much prettier, in their own malevolent, life-hating way (Though bees are much better at being "cuter" than a wasp, with fuzz and body shape).

 

Fuzz was going to be a thing, but was incompatible with any armor. Might try again soon though.

 

you need the fix the quests they changed how quests are put together so your mod crashes
