    The Walrak
The Walrak are a jolly people who reside in the frigid snowy planets strewn across the universe. They are a mostly friendly race, however they won't hesitate to put a spear in your back if you disturb their peace in any way. They are unplayable.

    History
Hailing from the icy cold worlds, The Walrak haven't had much contact until recently with various other races who are ill equipped for exploring their land.

They originally came from a single world, Oryat, unaware of Outer Space and the mysteries surrounding the stars. Their species became scattered when intergalactic warfare tore up their world. A faction of human prisoners from a nearby solar system tried to lay claim to the Walrak's homeworld, and in pursuit came the Apex, who were warring against this faction of human prisoners.

The human prisoners hunted the Walrak for their tusks and furs to use against the Apex and the Apex people evacuated as much Walrak from their homeworld as they could. The species were scattered as the different Apex vessels carrying the Walrak evacuees separated to different worlds, dividing the people permanently. The Apex's kindness towards the Walrak have established an alliance between the two species.

They are divided among two beliefs:

The Anu'Yaka, a peaceful clan that believes that anything can be achieved through peace. They are nomadic and open towards anybody. However they do attack when provoked.

The Hiyachi, a warmongering clan that believes that the highest honor is in battle. They are hostile towards humans and have a chance to be hostile to any other race excluding the Apex, who they are friendly towards. They tend to build large cities.

A lot of their trade and production revolves around their natural talent for fishing.

    Technology Age
    Tribal/Futuristic
They have futuristic technology but aren't willing to let go of old tribal traditions.

    Technology
Their technology aesthetically looks similar to Inuit technology that you would find on Earth, with a modern twist. Their main
weapons of use are wooden spears with metal tips, and blowdarts, but it isn't uncommon to see them hold a gun or a sword.

    Religion
They believe in the Haklat, the Goddess of Eternal Winter, a benevolent Goddess of winter. They build wooden shrines to her.

    Villages/Buildings
Their architecture is mostly wooden, with tribal ornaments, and screens. They look like cabins. Their villages are usually built above ground level on wooden supports, above frozen lakes.

    Hostility
They are a peaceful species most of the time but as stated before they will fight back when provoked.

They can be aggressive, especially the Hiyachi clan.

They are always friendly towards Apexes. They are untrusting towards humans, and if the Walrak is from the Hiyachi clan, they are hostile.

They are mostly friendly to other races but the Hiyachi clan is mixed.

    Defining moments in History
    The Town
    40,000 years ago

A tale that was passed around about a mythical Town created by the Goddess of Winter herself, and that those who followed the customs of the Walrak forever would be granted permission to The Town in death, hence why the Walrak don't let go of their tribal roots even in the Futuristic Age. Many Walrak scholars theorize that this tale encouraged their civilization.

    The Construction of Pilin
    9,000 years ago

The first city on their old home world, the Construction of Pilin inspired many folk-tales. Constructing the city took centuries and from a bird's eye view, it looked like a star. Thousands of Walrak died while constructing the city and they were buried underneath the city to ward off evil.

    The Landing of Men

Human prisoners set foot on the homeworld of the Walrak in hopes to pillage it. They killed Walrak for their furs and weapons. This was also the first time that the Walrak have encountered an alien species.

The Terrible Hunt and the Fall of Pilin

70% of Walrak population had been wiped out by the human prisoners and Pilin had been pillaged and destroyed.

The Landing of the Apex and the Frozen War
    470 years ago

An unknown faction of Apex who had been in pursuit of the human prisoners set foot on the Walrak homeworld, they save the Walrak population and war against the human prisoners. A massive war takes place and the home world is deemed unlivable.

    Evacuation and Modernization

The faction of Apex evacuate the Walrak onto space ships and teach them of better technologies, skipping the modern era altogether and dropping them into the futuristic era.

    The Split-Up and Colonization

An asteroid belt separates the many ships holding the survivors and they are forced to go separate ways. The Apex deliver the Walrak to hospitable snow worlds and give them the essentials to survive.

    Immunity to the Cold
Their thick leather skin, blubber and natural fur coats allow them to survive cold environments without freezing.

    Visuals
They are fat, hold large storages of blubber in their belly, and have two large tusks. They walk on two legs and have thick leather skin and sleek fur coats.

They look similar to Tuskar from World of Warcraft.
