Mh I'm not sure, I don't think that this is an official screenshot. Maybe an abandoned one they never intended to be seen for some reason.

 

Seriously, where did that screenshot come from?! Never seen that... but whale mounts would actually be amazing. Imagine that in multiplayer- riding around on a WHALE? Wow!

Why are you so sure about that? There is no hud, no health bar, nothing. Also the other screenshots never indicated that the worlds are acutally "round" like they have a slight curve similar to the one in the picture. If they would, the block-based system of the terrain won't work.

 

i never saw it either i just google imaged starbound and went to a random page
