Basically a tech slot that effects the mech. It stops energy depletion with the exception of taking damage (no regen, however). This would allow players to use their mechs in asteroid fields and on planets far longer! Which I think would add a lot more fun to the game. Just a QoL suggestion that doubles as a little healthy progression.
Wouldn't it be better to outright make this a base Mech feature? Specially if the new slot only has 1 tech.
I definitely agree that giving mechs greater lastability planetside is important; right now they might just as well be star fighters, for all that they don't last long very long on the ground and can't pick up extra charge outside of space encounters.
