    Hello!

When I tried to install Stardew Valley in Steam on 17-Feb-2017, it failed with the following error message:

AppID 413150 update canceled : Failed updating depot 413153 while creating symlink (Disk write failure) "/home/maxelost/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/downloading/413150/mcs"

    (from ~/.local/share/Steam/logs/content_log.txt).

The reason for the error was the path name. I had no .../steamapps/ directory. However, I found a .../SteamApps/. The letter case matters on Linux filesystems.

I made a workaround fix by creating a symlink: steamapps -> SteamApps. Then the installation succeeded, and I was able to play the game.

    OS: Fedora 25 (x86_64).

    FYI.

    With best regards from
    Maxelost.

Just thought I'd mention, I had the same problem on July 7, 2017 with a steam update (not install). Not sure if this is a steam problem or a stardew valley problem, but it's still there. (or possibly there again I suppose)
