Closed All but one of my characters wiped after update

I had not played since before the last update and when I came back only my first character had his stuff and then the second only had what was in his toolbar and the rest were totally reset The second character on had also been reset on quests and everything that was in their ships was gone. I dont know what happened or if it can be fixed but I'd like those characters back to the way they were[DOUBLEPOST=1451418874][/DOUBLEPOST]oh and im guessing all my weapons turning into generic objects was to plan. Correct me if im wrong.
