Dear Starbound Staff.
Have You Ever Thought of Releasing Your Text As A Font (Like A DLC Along With Soundtrack)?
I And Other People Would Pay Money To Be Able To Wright Messages In Official Starbound Text.

Protip, if you have the game that use the font you want then you already have access to the font though it may be hidden within the files somewhere. Owning the rights to the font is a different story and may cause legal issues if you were to use it in a game/comic/whatever to make profit but you should be able to use it freely as long it isn't for profit, at least that generally how stuff like this works.

The hard drive Starbound is on [Most likely C: if you aren't sure] > Program Files (x86) [Minus the (x86) if using a 32-bit OS] > Steam > steamapps > common > Starbound > assets
At that point there is the file that pretty much contain everything Starbound, nicely named packed.pak though it should be the only file there beside a folder call user where your abc music files would go.
To unpack the file though is a different story. http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/how-to-successfully-pack-and-unpack-pak-files.66649/ There is a thread explaining it showing you step by step what to do exactly. Do note they start one folder back.
If you follow that tutorial by the letter you will have a new folder in your Starbound folder call UnpackedAssets, explore there to see what the game is made out of which include the font file call hobo.ttf which you may copy to your computer font folder to be able to use it on any program that allow you to use custom fonts such as MS paint, Microsoft Word, Open Office and so on.
Hard drive your OS is on [Most likely C:] > Windows [Mac/Linux users are on their own] > Fonts - paste the file there, it should automatically "install".

Congrats, you can now type in Starbound.
