Hi guys. So this is a discussion that seems to have gone around a fair bit before release but now that Starbound is out it seems to have dropped out of the limelight. So as a roleplayer I was thinking that it would be really cool to be able to write our own books and notes. This would allow people to create elements to a story, write a captain's log, detail info on a city you've chosen as a significant location or to just leave insane, meaningless gibberish everywhere. And since the game have a variety of different book designs you could probably throw all of these into a selection of covers for your book to help you convey what is in it. Thoughts?
I second that some sort of notepad or way to make books as described by Sean10M would be sweet. As I find that simply making bookmarks is not enough and keeping log of findings in txt file destroys immersion in game. I read that there is a way to generate note item with console command but its a bit complicated in use.
