Game will run only in background

I played for a few hours yesterday, in two different sessions, just fine.

Today the game starts up (to the splash screen with the menu), but it will not run 'on top' (sorry if that's not the technical term). It runs minimized and no amount of clicking on the tray icon or alt-tabbing makes it better. I've tried running it in both 32-bit and 64-bit mode, normally and as administrator. I've also shut down Steam and run it directly from the game folder. No joy.

I think I may have resolved this on my own. The day it worked I had changed the game resolution to match my native display. Today I checked the starbound.config file and in there the full-screen resolution was set to a very old-school size. I changed that to my native resolution and it ran fine. If I don't come back and say anything then my problem remains resolved.
