GameDevelopment question, how did you code your aiming?

    Hello there,
    i've recently stumbeled upon your game, and have to say, i like it very much so far.
    I'm an aspiring gamedev myself, and i was just wondering in what way did you implement your shooting/aiming mechanics?

    (AFAIK, you're developing in Gamemaker, if not correct me)

    When aiming, do spawn an object for the weapon, which holds all the code for the weapon properties? Or do you just load a sprite atop of the player character?

    Would like to hear your answer, keep up the good work
