    Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen!

So... Just recently, I've picked up an interest in creating of this thing called Interactive Fiction. Some may know it as Text-based adventure games. Since I am quite unfamiliar with 'common' game creating software, I thought to myself that I should begin with simple game, even if it is only a text with ocassional pictures. The point is to get myself into that process of making something playable and potentionally enjoyable.

Quick research showed me, that there are free or open source software for making Interactive Fiction, like Quest, Twine, or Adrift.
Thus, I would like to ask, if there is someone, who has an experience with these or similar programs? If yes, what software would you recommend to beginner?

Thank you in advance. Any answer is greatly appreciated.
