the game already has instruments, why not make something that actually plays Mp3 files. for example we already have someone playing song of storms on an ocarina with a few flaws but with a boombox the sound will come out flawlessly. People wont have to make the ABC files also, they only need to put an Mp3 in a file
Seems obvious, given that an ABC file is a cruel and unusual way to reduce the quality of the music significantly.
